There are couple of issues regarding views where users were unable to query Redshift views which contains complex statements like CTE.

Error: list index out of range

Affected Versions: 2.5.1 2.6 2.6.1

Fix Version: 2.5.1* 2.6* 2.6.1* 2.7

2.5.1* 2.6* 2.6.1*

Customers upgrading to these versions after Aug 09, 2024 does not require explicit patching as the fix will be part of the release artifacts.

Root cause(s)

While making recent enhancements in 2.5.1 related to Hudi CORS functionality, Couple of validation placements resulted in these errors.

Impact

After upgrading to 2.5.1/2.6/2.6.1, When users try to query any Redshift views which contains complex statements like CTE then query fails with the error message list index out of range instead of returning results.

Fix available

Fix will be available in Amorphic version 2.7.

Patch is available for Amorphic versions v2.5.1, 2.6, 2.6.1
